PRIMIS - Signed the contracts for the reconstruction and expansion work of the Gravisi-Buttorai building in Koper, future headquarters of the Italian Multimedia Center in Slovenia

The reconstruction and expansion works of the Gravisi-Buttorai Palace in Koper/Capodistria, owned by the Italian Union-Unione Italiana, will begin in the second half of March 2021. The recovery of the historic building, located in Via Fronte di Liberazione N ° 6 and 8 and adjacent to the building of the same name, seat of the Community of Italians "Santorio Santorio", aims to establish the Italian Multimedia Centre (CMI), the first interactive and digital museum of the Italian National Community. The setting up of the CMI will take place in close synergy and cooperation between the Italian Union and the Coastal CAN.

The intervention will be carried out within the strategic project "PRIMIS - Multicultural journey between Italy and Slovenia through the prism of minorities / Večkulturno popotovanje med Slovenijo in Italijo skozi prizmo manjšin", funded under the Ist Call for Strategic Projects under the Interreg Program VA Italy-Slovenia 2014-2020, which sees the Italian Union of Capodistria as Lead Partner. The setting up of the CMI will take place in close synergy and cooperation between the Italian Union and the Coastal CAN of Koper/Capodistria.

 

On Wednesday, 24 February 2021, the Italian Union in Koper/Capodistria signed at their headquarters the the construction contract for the execution of the project "Reconstruction and expansion of the Gravisi-Buttorai Palace in Koper - Italian Multimedia Center" with the company Lesnina MG Oprema, podjetje za inženiring, d.d. from Ljubljana and the contract for Works Management for the project with the company Koordinata d.o.o.from Koper/Capodistria.

The comprehensive costs for the intervention reach 724,4 thousand euros, of which 605 thousand are financed from the project PRIMIS budget.
