Increasing the cross-border mobility of students from both sides of the border and simultaneous Italian-Slovenian cooperation between companies and schools is the guideline of the project CB_WBL, approved under the Interreg cooperation program V-A ITA-SLO 2014-2020.
On the ground floor of the Medpodjetniški izobraževalni centter - MIC center, operating within the Nova Gorica School Center, a contact seminar was held on Thursday 6 June 2019 which united in one place all those who have a role in work based learning, students, employers and mobility coordinators. Over 100 participants attended the presentation of a new digital platform called INPRAXI, which unites all the aforementioned interested parties and which will facilitate the organization of work-based learning for everyone.
Modern approaches that optimize the process of cross-border work based learning or mobility are enabled by precise digital tools. The INPRAXI platform, which is the Latin term for the phrase "in practice", represents the first step in connecting all actors of such an important spectrum of vocational education programs - practice or work based learning.
»Why couldn't a student on one side of the border look for training in a cmpany on the other side? But how? What is the role of the student, the coordinator, the company? How to organize insurance, safety at work? ... « These are the questions that the project team of the project CB_WBL has been researching since October 2017 - the INPRAXI platform as a single tool represents the impact of the project and the point of contact of cross-border integration. Students will be able to know first-hand the potential employers, connect with them and get answers to any questions related to cross-border training. Employers will have the opportunity to present their activities and to enable prospective potential candidates to connect directly with them via a simple click. All this will be monitored by the mobility coordinators, who will learn about the different techniques to facilitate contacts between high school students and employers, and to organize cross-border work-based learning.
The INPRAXI platform, which will be fully accessible through the domain www.inpraxi.info from 20 June 2019, represents the possibility of a stepping stone to the world of work that classroom lessons cannot guarantee - as besides conquering professional skills, it also offers the acquisition of so-called transversal skills (soft skills), which they can use throughout their lives. International cooperation also benefits companies, as they acquire new knowledge and ideas and a different view of business, while students can bring a fraction of their youthful enthusiasm and culture to the team.
