In June the Municipality of Postojna started regulating the Belške vode watercourse as part of the VISFRIM project, financed by the Program Interreg V-A Italy-Slovenia 2014-2020. In the spring a public procurement was carried out, in which the contractor Rafael d.o.o. was selected as the most favorable bidder. During this summer, work will be carried out to arrange major culverts, dimensioned for 100-year floods, and to fortify the banks on an approximately 200 meters-long river trunk.
Via these works an increased flow capacity is expected to be achieved during extreme rain events, so to limit the occurrence of floods.
