On October 25, 2017 the kick off meeting of the standard project having acronym »tARTini« and entitled Cultural tourism in the name of Giuseppe Tartini was held in Piran. The project is part-financed in the framework of the Call for standard project proposals No. 3/2016 published by the Interreg V-A Italy-Slovenia programme.
The Lead Partner of this project is the Municipality of Piran.
The project partnership is composed of: Italian Community Giuseppe Tartini (Piran), Festival Ljubljana (Ljubljana), Conservatory of Music Giuseppe Tartini (Trieste), Executive Secretariat for Central European Initiatives (Triest), University of Padova.
The project deals with the cultural heritage of the border area. It encourages its conservation and promotion, especially in connection with the famous composer Giuseppe Tartini, born in Piran in 1692. It also wants to establish cross-border channels of sustainable cultural tourism.
