CROSSMOBY – PUBLIC EVENT "SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY AND DATA SHARING TO IMPROVE CROSS-BORDER PUBLIC TRANSPORT SERVICES. DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES AND PERSPECTIVES FOR BORDER AREAS". THURSDAY 24TH FEB. 2022, FROM 9.30 TILL 12

The public event "Sustainable mobility and data sharing to improve cross-border public transport services. Development opportunities and perspectives for border areas" will be held next Thursday, on the 24th of February 2022, starting at 9.30, and is organized as part of the CROSSMOBY project, co-financed by the Interreg V-A Italy-Slovenia 2014-2020 cooperation program.

The event, organized by the Euregio Senza Confini EGTC r.l. (partner of the CROSSMOBY project), will be held in videoconference mode on the Zoom platform.

The meeting is focused on the role of information services on intermodal mobility in planning processes and on the importance of having data available, accessible and interoperable, even cross-border.

The first part of the event, through the presentations and interventions by EGTC Euregio Senza Confini rl, the Autonomous Region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia and the Emilia-Romagna Region, will be an opportunity to learn about the project experiences of CROSSMOBY (Interreg Italy-Slovenia programe), prepAIR (Life programe) and ICARUS (Interreg Italy-Croatia programe) regarding the development of information platforms and activities related to the theme of infomobility.

The speech by the Ministry of Sustainable Infrastructures and Mobility will open the second part of the conference by offering an overview of the Delegated Regulation 2017/1926 of the EU Commission which establishes the necessary requirements for information services on multimodal mobility throughout Europe to be accurate and available across national borders. The Italian and Slovenian profiles and the telematic platforms of the NeTEX-Network Timetable Exchange, a European standard defined by the CEN-European Committee for Standardization as language for the exchange of static data collected on local public transport.

The aim of the meeting is to emphasize the benefits for the cross-border area deriving from the system and interoperability of the data collected relating to public transport to promote mobility planning, strengthening connectivity and consequently European territorial cohesion.
