A meeting organized by the lead partner of the project KZ Agraria Koper, zoo, Koper took place on the 20th and 21st of November 2017 at an idyllic location in Koper (House of Refošk, Culinary & Wine), which offered to the project partners exceptional hospitality with an excellent offer of home cooking and wine. The integration of the autochthone vegetation of the northern Adriatic, cultural heritage and local products in the green tourism of the region is the main purpose of the project.
The project Autochthonous Mediterranean Garden and Cousine to preserve the typical identity of the Region - MEDS GARDEN was approved in the framework of the public tender of the INTERREG V-A Cooperation Program of Italy-Slovenia 2014-2020 and will run from 1st of October 2017 till 30th of September 2019. In the project, alongside the leading partner of KZ Agraria Koper, z.o.o., Koper, the partners are: Municipality of Koper, LIVE GREEN - SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT CENTER, z.o.o., SCUOLA CENTRALE FORMAZIONE, GIUSEPPE OLIVOTTI SOCIETA 'COOPERATIVA SOCIALE ONLUS, Fondazione Opera Sacra Famiglia - Impresa sociale.
The main objective of the project is a developed, preserved and attractive cultural landscape, as an innovative learning and experiential tourism on autochthone plants, local cuisine and products of the northern Adriatic with the established cross-border system of management of knowledge, heritage and sustainable management of the network of Mediterranean gardens of the northern Adriatic under a common brand.
