In the occasion of the 10th EC Ddy - European cooperation day, Škocjan Caves Park, in cooperation with Visit Ilirska Bistrica, is organizing an awareness event of the ENGREEN project as part of the traditional Kette march from Ilirska Bistrica to Prem.
The event will take place on Sunday, 26 September 2021, starting at 10 am (hikers) and 11 am (runners, cyclists).
We will set off in front of the Dragotin Kette Elementary School (Župančičeva ulica 7, 6250 Ilirska Bistrica).
The event will be dedicated to visiting the green infrastructure along the Kette trail all the way from Ilirska Bistrica to Prem, where we will see even lesser-known water sources on Prem.
The route is 13 km long, technically undemanding, at a normal pace you can walk for 4 hours, we recommend appropriate footwear and clothing, some liquid in the backpack will not be superfluous.
Professional guidance along the way, refreshments for participants in the form of local food tastings and transport of participants back to the starting point will be provided. On the day of the event, Prem Castle and Dragotin Kette's birth house in Prem will be open for viewing to all visitors to the hike, free of charge.
