Thanks to the MerlinCV project, two workshops were organised on 23 and 30 April 2021, from 4 to 7 p.m., dedicated to the pilot projects on the topic of Local Supply Communities - LSC.
The two events were hosted on the ZOOM platform with the participation of the project partner Aries who was in charge of invitations and the lead partner ZRS Koper who explained the objectives of the MerlinCV project.
The first meeting was aimed at sharing information on this type of promotion and community building.
Efrem Tassinato, director of the consortium “I Buoni Convivi”, explained everything about the history of the project and the present state of activities; he also shared with the participants some actual cases and invited representatives of Italian and foreign LSC’s to share their experiences.
The architect Maurizio Trevisan also addressed the participants in the course of the same meeting. His role in the MerlinCV project was to analyse some case studies of good practices in public/private managing of historic mansions. He shed light on some cases of historic buildings management in the Italian territory.
The second event took place on 30 April 2021 and was mostly envisaged as a training opportunity and a natural next step to the first meeting.
The role of the Linkman was explained: a person who knows the territory very well and is willing to bring together the demands and needs of both the tourism operators and the tourists. A part of the second meeting was also dedicated to some actual cases like the one known as the “Short supply chain of Cerrano”. The aim of this initiative was to protect the environment, develop the local market, fight against waste/excessive consumption, and enhance the identity of the territory.
Some guests of the meeting, i.e., Municipality of Grado and LAG Valli del Natisone Torre, took part in the discussion to share their experiences and their plans for future projects.
The sustainability and networking proved to be a very involving issue since they are the necessary elements for a proper development of a territory in respect of its own identity.
