Yesterday, the third partnership meeting of all partners involved in the Waste design project was held in Venice. The Municipality of Postojna plays the role of a leading partner in the projecta and Komunala Izola, Isontina Ambiente and IUAV University of Venice also participate.
The purpose of the project is to rationalize the collection of municipal solid waste, reduce it using green technologies, and reduce the production of unsorted waste by increasing citizens' awareness of circular economy issues. As part of the project, underground ecological islands have already been established in Izola, and two more will be established in Postojna. IUAV will pilot design and manufacture an example of urban equipment from waste building materials, and Isontina Ambiente will establish its Reuse Center.
The purpose of the meeting in Venice was to present the implemented project activities during the one-year implementation of the project and to exchange information on the planned activities that will be carried out until March 2023, when the project will also be completed.
