News

The European Commission, with the Implementing Decision C(2022) 5745 of August 3rd 2022, has approved the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme 2021-2027, supporting the European Regional Development Fund under the European Territorial Cooperation Objective (Interreg) between Italy and Slovenia.

The goal that has just been reached is the result of 34 months of negotiations (including two years in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic) between representatives of Italy (State, FVG Region and Veneto Region) and Slovenia. The process started formally with the first Programme Task Force meeting held on November 12th 2019 and developed into a further 28 Task Force meetings, the last of which was held on July 6th 2022.

At this point, the international programming process passes the baton to the Programme implementation phase.
