Nat2Care: Project Activities in Triglav National park (TNP)

Within the Nat2care project TNP has focused on monitoring activites for selected target species such as capercaillie, black grouse, rock ptarmigan and chamois. With Italian partners we have exhcanged best practice and methodology for monitoring periglacial flora and in year 2019 we have set up six permanent areas for long-term monitoring of vegetation under Triglav glacier. In cooperation with National Institute for Biology we have installed two »rosaliums« info points with habitat for beetle Rosalia alpina. We have organised many educational activities, workshops and didactical games for kids, summer camp and 24 hours of research for students in Trenta valley. For broader public we have organised some thematic guided tours in Natura 2000 area.
