On 20/10/2021 NANO-REGION, the organization and presented an event for the primary schools of Piran. In particular, the state of the University of Nova Gorica, and prof. Egon Pavlica presented the lecture on "Nanotechnologies and alternative energy sources" at the Ciril Kosmač Primary School in Piran. The aim is to be able to illustrate the ways in which nanotechnologies can play a role in the field of energy production: this is an illustrative example of how energy is managed, the operation of wind farms and the principle of economic development, solar cells and the various materials used, but also more general concepts such as what the nanoscale is. Finally, some experiments were reproduced and illustrated. There are 93 participants in the occupation, observing the demonstration of the optical lithography process.
The activity was designed and conducted for the primary school, between the fifth and eighth year.
