GORIZIA, 12 of July 2019- More than 30 institutional actors from Italy, Slovenia and Croatia met in Gorizia on the issues of sustainable mobility and intermodal transport.

The meeting was held at the premises of the Institute of International Sociology of Gorizia (ISIG). It was organised within two projects, of which ISIG is a partner, funded by the Interreg VA Italy-Slovenia program and the Interreg VA Italy-Croatia Program, 2014-2020. They are, respectively, the MobiTour project - Sustainable mobility of cross-border coastal and hinterland tourist areas (which involves the Municipalities of Caorle, Lignano Sabbiadoro, Piran, the The Škocjan Caves and the Lipica Stud Farm), and the SUTRA project - Sustainable Transport in Adriatic Coastal Areas and Hinterland (which involves the Municipalities of Caorle, Chioggia, Vodnjan, Pescara, Porec, Ravenna, Split, the Intermunicipalities Territorial Union Riviera Bassa Friulana and the Split and Dalmatia County).

The meeting was a unique opportunity for sharing of good practices and defining joint actions and strategies in the promotion of cross-border, intermodal and sustainable mobility.

Gorizia is, once again, a strategic center for the definition of joint policies and actions between Italy, Slovenia and Croatia.
