On Monday 18 th March, 2019 the tender contract will be signed between the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC GO) and Erik Sever s. p. in partnership with Zoran Batistič s.p, the company which will make the first lot "Infrastructure works for the recreation area in Vrtojba" in the framework of the European Project Isonzo-Soča, financed by the Interreg V-A Italy Slovenia Cooperation Programme 2014-2020. It's the first contract concluded under a complex administrative procedure, where for the first time a subject of Italian law published a tender in Slovenia, applying the Slovenian legislation.
The contract will be signed at 4:30 p.m. after EGTC GO Assembly, which will take place in the first floor, Sala Grande, Šempeter-Vrtojba Town Hall. The signature will be affixed in the presence of the three mayors of the founding municipalities EGTC GO: Milan Turk, Mayor of Šempeter-Vrtojba, Rodolfo Ziberna, Mayor of Gorizia and Klemen Miklavič, Mayor of Nova Gorica in order to celebrate a symbolic moment for the cross-border area, after the fence cut in Salcano.
The works will start after the contract signature, and are expected to be completed by September 2019, including a 1255 square metre parking space for campervans with all the needed services.The total amount of the works is € 390.000 (+VAT).
The contract signature represents a significative moment since it marks the beginning of the works that by 2021 will lead to the creation, in the territories of Municipalities of Gorizia, Nova Gorica and Šempeter- Vrtojba, of a cross-border network of cycling and walking paths in order to develop the cross-border area as unique tourist destination.
The works will be carried out in the framework of the European Project Isonzo-Soča, financed by the Interreg V-A Italy-Slovenia Cooperation Programme 2014-2020. The total budget of the project is 5.000.000 Euro.
The planning phases of the lot related to the recreation area in Vrtojba were commissioned by the Municipality of Šempeter-Vrtojba, which intends to carry out a series of other investements financed by the Municipality's budget.
