With a view to achieving the objective of harmonising procedures within the field of civil motorisation and promoting institutional dialogue between Italy and Slovenia, the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region has produced two important documents: the "Report on National and Regional Procedures and Legal Context in Italy and Slovenia" and the "Action Plan for Promoting Institutional Dialogue".
The report addresses topics such as: the Driver Qualification Card and the procedure to obtain it, the registration of heavy vehicles, the management of emergencies with particular regard to health issues such as the Covid-19 pandemic and the analysis of heavy traffic flows.
The Action Plan, on the other hand, aims to provide a planned pathway to promote institutional dialogue between Italian and Slovenian authorities and to create a permanent joint committee between the institutions.
