At the conclusion of the project, the final cross-border event was organized on 03/29/2023 at LEF. The final event was attended by project partners, companies, experts involved in the project, innovation actors, as well as interested public (34 participants in total). The event was an opportunity to present achievements, in particular ample space was given to projects presented in response to industrial challenges. The lead partner also presented the plan for the sustainability of the project.
Aim of the event
A supply chain is not stronger than its weakest link. In the cross-border mobility industry, the weakest links are micro and small firms and artisan businesses struggling to meet the challenges of the digital transition.
Industry 4.0 technologies are also a key factor for these companies, as they can bring about strategic and organizational change, enabling the development of new products and services.
The event "Moving Forward. Energies for Challenges in the Mobility Industry," aimed to share the experiences of TechMOlogy participants on what they have learned over the course of the project and how they are meeting the challenges of digitization. Innovation experts and entrepreneurs explained technology trends and related skills gaps in automotive as well as other mobility supply chains in the cross-border area between Italy and Slovenia.
Results of the event
The event broadly presented the results of our 18-month cross-border collaboration. Among the many speakers were PP, beneficiaries but also companies and experts involved in the project.
Participants were able to hear, directly from the the key players, numerous cases of companies that have faced the ongoing challenges of sustainable mobility and how digital technologies have helped them turn these challenges into success.
The Project Partners emphasized that one of the main reasons for collaboration in this consortium was to develop knowledge and methods that would bring companies in the automotive and mobility industries closer to some key technologies that are still being phased into companies' production and business processes. Although they are not yet widespread, they will certainly have a great impact on business operations in the future.
The project has also brought companies closer to some content that, without the encouragement of the consortium partners, they would not have been able to touch on their own. Thanks to the established contacts, new information and knowledge, and concrete familiarization with new technologies, their introduction into companies will be easier, faster, and with less effort.
The project and the collaboration among the partners helped everyone involved to think about better utilizing the existing research facilities and competencies in an efficient and pro-competitive way for the whole area, creating multiplication effects that would otherwise be impossible.
The presentation of industrial challenges by the partners provided insight for the various stakeholders to find both positive feedback and valuable input to continue in the effort to grow the overall competitiveness of our area.
