As part of the Crossit Safer Project on Saturday 23 April 2022 in Pissebus, in the Municipality of Tolmezzo, a PISSEBUS 2022 was held.
The activity was attended by the Civil Protection of Friuli Venezia Giulia, AIB operators among the volunteers of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto, Piedmont, Lombardy, Liguria, Slovenia and Germany, the Regional Forestry Corps, the Fire Brigade of the Udine command, the University of Padua for over a hundred people involved.
The exercise, which was also attended by observers from Slovenia and Germany, sought to reproduce a forest fire that developed in March 2021.
In addition to the intervention of teams from the ground, the helicopter of the Civil Protection of Friuli Venezia Giulia also participated by carrying out water launches taken from the Tagliamento river and from the specially mounted tanks. The exercise allowed foreign observers to discuss the different techniques and equipment used.
