News

On Thursday, 30 September, three of our project partners, featuring the Municipality of Postojna, Fire Association of Slovenia and Fire-prevention and Rescue Service of Sežana, joined forces to carry out an exercise where intervention command system with the use of cartography and air support was tested. In the morning part, partners first got acquainted with the planning and operational managing of units in sectors using the atlas. The presentation also featured drones as a support and help at planning interventions. In the afternoon part, a simulation of an exercise took place based on the assumption of a massive fire in the natural environment. The field units were being guided and allocated according to the feedback on the availability of units. The exercise was followed by a short analysis of the work done, at which all the partners agreed on the necessity of this kind of exercises.
