Within the framework of the standard project "MobiTour - Sustainable Mobility of Tourist Destinations of the Coastal Areas and Hinterland of the Cross-Border Area”, finances by the Cooperation Programme Interreg V-A Italy – Slovenia 2014 -2020 the Škocjan Caves Regional Park, Slovenia (PŠJ) is organising two trips with electric bikes. The first trip will take place on September 17, the second on September 19, 2018. By means of these promotional events MobiTour will join the European Mobility Week campaign, which takes place every year, from 16 to 22 September, under the auspices of the European Commission.
On Monday, September 17, 2018, the objective is to inform and raise awareness of PŠJ employees about the importance of low-carbon mobility on the coast and in the karst hinterland. On Wednesday, September 19, 2018, local stakeholders will join project partners in promoting sustainable mobility. The event will begin with the presentation of the Sustainable mobility plan of PŠJ. Participants will then try one of the routes on the new Brkini cycling map (http://www.visit-brkini.com/2018/07/19/s-collection-hills-and-dollar-v-brkine/), on electric bikes they will get to know the local sights and delights of the Brkini local producers.
