Events

The kick-off meeting of the INTEGRA project took place on Thursday, 7th December 2017, in the premises of the University of Trieste (Department of Political and Social Sciences – DiSPeS). The first part of the meeting, aimed at the project partners, was followed by a press conference for the presentation of INTEGRA to the media and the general public.
The project is financed by the European Regional Development Fund as well as by national funds in the framework of the Cross-border Cooperation Programme INTERREG V-A Italy-Slovenia 2014-2020 for a total amount of € 611.072,85 and a duration of 18 months (October 2017 – March 2019). The lead partner is the University of Trieste, while the partnership is formed by the University of Primorska, the hospitals I.R.C.C.S. Burlo Garofolo and Bolnišnica Postojna (project partners) as well as by the association ANOLF Trieste (associated partner).
INTEGRA addresses an issue that has so far received little attention: the safeguard of sexual and reproductive health of migrant women from patriarchal cultures. Its main objective is to increase the knowledge and the cross-border cooperation of healthcare workers regarding the sexual and reproductive health of migrant women, especially those who are at risk of female genital mutilations (FGM) or forced weddings, by developing an indicator of sexual and reproductive health as well as common guidelines.
