On September 18th, 2021, the "AMOK 2021 excercise will be performed in the frame of the project "NEX AID - Cross-border network of emergency medical care and mass disaster management systems", that is funded by the ERDF under the program Interreg V-A Italia - Slovenia 2014 – 2020.
The Amok event is an exceptional security phenomenon when one or more perpetrators kill or injure one or more persons aimlessly or systematically. That kind of a mass disaster presents a challenge to all intervention services. Therefore, a good cooperation and knowledge of action protocols in events that require large number of casualties is essential.
EXERCISE OBJECTIVE:
- Testing of the mobile unit system in cooperation with other intervention services and in conjunction with interventions in cooperation with hospitals.
- Mass accident communication test (between mobile units, police officers and hospital).
