Events

The Museum of the Spinning Mill of Salzano is rekindled after the strict COVID-19 restrictions, in the great style inaugurating, on Sunday 29 May at 11 a.m., a new space, enriching itself with a new immersive and multimedia room.

It is an innovative installation, a "magical place" in which a poetic and evocative graphic of virtual butterflies accompanies the visitor in experimenting with new contents related to silk, its production, the protagonists who designed the ancient factory symbol of Salzano.

La Filanda opens its doors to the territory giving substance to a dense network of collaborations full of meaning and value, in a scheme that can be further implemented in the near future. A network that is also multiplying in an important way at an international level. This is an installation that is part of the INTERREG Italy-Slovenia 2014-2020 cross-border cooperation program which, thanks to the MerlinCV project, has allowed to receive particular funding from the European Commission. Venetian partners – in cooperation with the Municipality of Salzano and other project partners from Italy and Slovenia – put together their know-how and experience with the aim of building new paths to enhance the excellence of tourism in an increasingly effective way with a view to sustainability and attention to the environment.
