Within the MobiTour project - Sustainable mobility of coastal tourist areas and of cross-border hinterland (financed by the Programme Interreg V-A Italy-Slovenia 2014-2020), the first Focus Group with local stakeholders has been organized in the pilot area of the Regional Park Škocjan Caves.
The meeting was attended by local authorities, experts, civil society associations, economic operators and tourist associations. The aim was to identify the main challenges for sustainable mobility in the pilot area, the needs of residents, tourists and citizens, and possible actions/strategies aimed at promoting sustainable mobility in the area.
The results of the Focus Group will be analysed and will be used to prepare a questionnaire for end-users of sustainable mobility services (citizens and tourists). The questionnaire will serve as a basis for developing cross-border pilot systems and solutions in the sustainable mobility sector in project areas, namely: Škocjan Caves Park, Municipality of Piran, Lipica, Municipality of Lignano Sabbiadoro, Municipality of Caorle.
