ENGREEN - September events in Eastern Veneto

As part of the ENGREEN project, for the month of September VeGAL has scheduled various events aimed at promoting the green areas of Eastern Veneto, raising awareness of both adults and children regarding respect for the environment.

The first scheduled initiatives took place on Sunday 12 September on the occasion of the Festa delle Risorgive in Cinto Caomaggiore. It was a double date. In the morning there was the conference "The park today and tomorrow", dedicated to the Park of the rivers Lemene, Reghena and lakes of Cinto. The projects of the “We Need Space” workshops were presented and the awards ceremony for the “Scatti di Paesaggio” photo contest was held, with the opportunity to visit the exhibition with the most evocative images selected by the jury. In the afternoon, however, there was a drawing workshop for children entitled "The fabulous world of lakes".

The second appointment in September will instead be Saturday 18 September for a “Day by bike from Caposile to Jesolo”, among splendid river landscapes and interesting archaeological sites. The event is organized in collaboration with the Ca 'Foscari University of Venice - Department of Humanities, with the patronage of the Municipality of Jesolo. Participants will start in Caposile, where they can rent bicycles for free to travel the “Sile greenway” that leads to Jesolo. Here they will reach the archaeological site of the “Antiche Mura di Jesolo” for a guided tour in collaboration with the archaeologists of the Ca 'Foscari University of Venice. Along the panoramic road that runs along the Venice lagoon, they will then arrive in Lio Maggiore and, after lunch, they will reach the medieval Torre Caligo, for another short guided tour. Complete program and all the information in the attached poster.

Last event of the month, a morning of free guided tours to the Fellini Park of San Donà di Piave, a public park that is a real wood within the city. The event, with the patronage of the Municipality of San Donà and in collaboration with the Sandonatese Naturalistic Association and the "Il Pendolino" cultural-naturalistic association, will take place on Sunday 19 September, from 9 to 12 am. to adults and children, who will be divided into distinct visiting groups. The expert guides will lead young and old to discover the floristic composition and the cultural, landscape and naturalistic aspects of the park. All information in the attached poster.
