CROSS-BORDER WORKSHOPS INTERREG ITALY-SLOVENIA

On the 6th and 7th of February the project CB_WBL held the first two cross-border workshops on the topic "Development of collaborative capacities in vocational and professional education".

The first workshop was held at the Nova Gorica School Center (Šolski center Nova Gorica, Slovenia). It was  intended for school workers and stakeholders in the world of work and economy who come from the Italian part of the program area. The education system in Slovenia was presented to them, with emphasis on vocational and professional education and training of students in companies. As a practical and concrete example, the cooperation between Nova Gorica School Center and the company MAHLE Letrika l.l.c. from Šempeter was presented.

The second workshop was held in Udine (Italy) at A. Malignani High School. It was  intended for school workers and stakeholders in the world of work and economy who come from the Slovenian part of the program area. Compulsory school-work alternance pathways was presented in the way that is carried out by the school hosting the event and moreover, a presentation on the dual system introduced by the vocational school Cecconi in Udine was shown. In addition, a representative of the Danieli Corporation of Buttrio (UD) presented the philosophy of complementary roles in the training proces carried out by the school and a private company.

Interest in the workshops and participation alone exceeded the organizers' expectations. A joint workshop for both Slovenian and Italian beneficiaries will be held on 6th of March 2018 and will crown this type of training. On that day a proposal for a protocol on cross-border practical work based learning will be presented.
