Numerous potential project proposers at the presentation of the INTERREG Italy-Slovenia 2021-2027 Programme and Capitalization Call (Call No. 01/2022) in Štanjel

The Slovene National contact point, in cooperation with the Managing Authority and the Joint Secretariat, organized on November 15 in the "Viteška dvorana" of Štanjel Castle a presentation of the new 2021-2027 programming period between Italy and Slovenia and the first Capitalization Call (Call No. 01/2022), published by the Interreg Italy-Slovenia Programme on October 24th, 2022. The event was attended by 140 representatives of various Slovenian institutions. 

The exceptional interest and large number of participants confirm the data from the survey conducted by the European Commission: it was indeed shown that Slovenian citizens are very familiar with the Interreg programs (35% positive responses) and are aware of the many opportunities to benefit from cohesion funds.

The event was aimed at potential Slovenian project partners. After opening greetings by Aleksandra Šušter Močnik, Head of the Department of European Territorial Cooperation and Financial Mechanisms of SVRK, and Laura Comelli, representing the Managing Authority of the Programme, Anton Harej presented the Capitalization Call which aims to transfer the results and outputs of the previous programming period to the new 2021-2027 programming. The first Programme call offers 13,500,000.00 euros of European funds for regional development.

Following presentations were made by the Programme Joint Secretariat. Aljoša Sosol presented the new JEMS platform. The platform will be used for submitting project applications and for project reporting and monitoring. Claudia Ferluga, on the other hand, explained the importance of communication in Interreg projects, emphasizing that every new project must appoint a communication officer.

Boštjan Trampuž, from SVRK Control Sector, presented the Manual on Eligible Expenditures.

Finally, the Programme staff answered questions from the audience.
