GeoKarst: »Walking on a coral reef – inauguration of the »Geological trail of the Cliffs of Lumignano«

The Soil and coastal defence Department of the Veneto Region, in collaboration with the Department of Geosciences of the University of Padova, the Municipality of Longare and the Pro Loco Longare, organizes the excursion »Walking on a coral reef – inauguration of the »Geological trail of the Cliffs of Lumignano«, Sunday 9 october.

Program:

• at 8:30 a.m. – meeting in Lumignano, Piazza Mazzaretto;
• at 8:45 a.m. –start of the hike along the approximately 6 km long circular trail accompanied by prof. Nereo Preto from the Department of Geosciences;
• at 11:45 a.m. – arrival in Lumignano and inauguration of the interpretation board with the mayor of the Municipality of Longare.

Practical information: reservations are required at info@prolocolongare.it until the maximum number of participants (25 people). 5 EUR for insurance it has to be paid to Pro Loco before departure. The use of trekking shoes is recommended. (In case of rain the excursion will be cancelled and only the inauguration of the interpretation board it will be held at 11:45 a.m.)
