The Interreg Italy-Slovenia Programme will celebrate the European Cooperation Day with the event "INTERREG COOPERATION BETWEEN ITALY AND SLOVENIA: DISCOVERING EUROPEAN PROJECTS AND FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES" scheduled for 21 September in Trieste at the Savoia Excelsior Palace.
The event will weave together not only experiences from the 2014-2020 programming period, but also cooperation perspectives for future projects. In fact, during the event, the new Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme – which has been approved by the European Commission at the beginning of August – will be officially launched.
In addition to taking part in thematic conferences, participants will be given the opportunity to field test what has been achieved by the projects financed by the Interreg Italy-Slovenia Programme through direct contact with the beneficiaries and practical demonstrations of the products and activities financed, such as small experiments, use of electric bikes and cars, demonstration stands, photographic exhibitions, virtual reality, promotional materials and popular videos, and much more...
The event, organised by the Managing Authority of the Programme based at the Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region, is an opportunity to present to citizens not only the contribution of the Interreg Italy-Slovenia Programme for the development of the territory, but also to explore the wider framework of the challenges and opportunities of future cooperation between Italy and Slovenia.
