At the following https://eco-smart.si/it/ and https://eco-smart.si/ the educational portal created by the ECO-SMART project is available to promote students' knowledge of ecosystem services, payment systems for ecosystem services and the concepts of ecosystem vulnerability due to climate change in RETE NATURA 2000 sites. The website also contains the electronic publication in Italian and Slovenian dedicated to teachers.
The e-manual, produced within the project ECO-SMART, Interreg Italy-Slovenia cooperation program, is aimed at primary and secondary school teachers and educators in general who work in the field of education for sustainable development and the transfer of knowledge and skills in the field of climate change. The Teacher's Guide was developed to help teachers explain content such as ecosystem services and biodiversity of Natura 2000 coastal areas, the impacts of climate change on these areas, and ecosystem-based adaptation measures. It includes information on the proposed learning content, objectives and expected outcomes, and teaching methods. In this way, it guides teachers to integrate this content into the curriculum in an interdisciplinary and holistic manner. The manual is usefully complemented by educational content that can be found on the project's online educational portal (www.eco-smart.si), allowing easier and faster use of this content (games, quizzes, puzzles, videos).
