Soon, as part of Interreg's Waste Design project, the regulation of three submersible ecological islands will begin at the three most problematic locations in Postojna. The municipality hopes the new regime will also bring less food around the islands. According to coordinator Maja Piškur, a contractor will be selected within 14 days and all three islands are expected to be completed in November.
The project is worth €230,000, and as much as 85% or more than 195 thousand will be co-financed by Interreg.
