NANO-REGION guest at the final event of the EU RETINA project, which took place on 30 September 2020. The event was attended by Mattia Fanetti, as an active researcher in the RETINA project, also participating, however, in the NANO-REGION project. The bridge constituted by the presence of Fanetti also meant a sort of symbolic passing of the baton, for the development and enrichment of a common methodology.
The RETINA project ended in September 2020 and in the final event, in which the results were collected and reported. Marco Lazzarino, of the NANO-REGION project, was also invited, who in his speech, held during the round table at the end of the day, put forward the proposal to create a new possible synergy. The model that has been brought is that of Interreg Alpine, which sees the coordination between different Interreg projects with a common focus.
What RETINA and NANO-REGION share is certainly the approach and some operational tools, such as the use of PoCs, and their structure. This is why Lazzarino's proposal was positively received… now new horizons are opening up.
