The SECAP project was presented on 4th December 2020 at Telequattro TV. Mr. Nicolò Tudorov of the Central Directorate for environmental protection, energy and sustainable development illustrated the objectives of the action plans for sustainable energy and climate. The 'Covenant of Mayors' initiative was born in 2008 with the aim of promoting sustainable development models on a local scale. The Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the territorial coordinator of the Covenant of Mayors, supports local administrations in this initiative. The project also includes training for municipal administrations in order to allow technicians to face this challenge successfully. Another objective of the SECAP project, which is financed by the Interreg program Italy-Slovenia, is undoubtedly the cross-border cooperation. Within this framework, the studies of the vulnerability of the various territories to climate change are developed, along with the cross-border sharing of methodologies and tools, with the common goal of combating climate change.
