In recent days, the installation of electronic hives has begun, which will allow monitoring of the environmental conditions in which the hive is located and the health conditions of the bee colony. The action is one of the key activities of the Interreg Italy - Slovenia "Beediversity" project, a project that aims to improve biodiversity through innovative management of ecosystems and monitoring of bees.
The electronic hive is a hive equipped with some sensors that allow you to count the number of bees entering and leaving, the internal and external temperature and the weight. These data are transmitted from a remote control unit and allow you to keep the health and progress of the colony under constant control.
