Regional Development Agency ROD Ajdovščina has organized a workshop on 22 September 2020, where the new platform of cycling destination Alpe-Adria was presented. The workshop was dedicated to future administrators who will be responsible for development of cycling tourism in Primorska region. The platform is one of the results of a cross-border project INTER BIKE II, Program of cooperation Interreg V-A Italia-Slovenia 2014-2020.
With the workshop and the press conference that followed after, another European Mobility Week came to an end. At the press conference the project INTER BIKE II’s platform and the outputs of the project were presented. For the opening, the greeting words of Tatjana Rener from Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy of the Republic of Slovenia and Brigita Štolfa, CEO of Regional Development Agency ROD Ajdovščina, were received.
Among the guests, Slovenian minister of infrastructure has illustrated the activities of the ministry during the European Mobility Week and the future plans on sustainable mobility. Giuliano Nemarnik, CEO of the Lead partner of the project - The Regional Development Centre Koper, has highlighted the results of INTER BIKE II project and announced the possible opportunities for a further development of the project that started in 2017 with the expected conclusion in 2020.
Its partnership is made up of 5 Slovenian and Italian partners. Participants were shown the new promotional video with the protagonist Slovenian cyclist Polona Batagelj, participant in the two Olympic games.
The developer of the online platform Matic Klanjšček held the training workshop on the functioning and use of the website in the morning. The platform offers an innovative cartographic base for illustrating environmental data on the cycling offer. Janez Furlan from the Municipality of Ajdovščina presented the possibilities and opportunities for the development of sustainable mobility in the Municipality of Ajdovščina.
The activities that took place during the European Mobility Week between 16 and 22 September 2020 in the Municipality of Vipava with the slogan »Choose the cleanest mode of transport« were presented by Luka Lango.
