The final conference of the MobiTour project, funded by the Interreg V-A Italy-Slovenia 2014-2020 programme, will be held on September 22nd 2020, at the Park of the Caves of San Canziano.
The event will have a hybrid nature, it will be possible to attend it both physically and in on-line mode, with the possibility to follow the live via the Facebook channel of the project.
The final conference will focus primarily on the presentation of the main results of the project and the development of good practices of cross-border cooperation, such as the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC). In addition, two parallel workshop sessions will focus, respectively, on the possibility of establishing a new EGTC Karst Geopark and on the future challenges of sustainable low-carbon mobility and the use of alternative means of transport.
In these three years of duration of the project, multimodality, the eco-sustainable transport and the establishment of intelligent transport services for both residents and tourists have been promoted and encouraged with the use of electric public vehicles and other alternative means of transport (pedestrian and cycling routes) in coastal tourist destinations and interland.
The event will end with a press conference to present the results of the project.
