On Wednesday 25 September 2019, the SUSGRAPE project was presented at the end of the first day of the 12th meeting of the Monitoring Committee (MC) of the Interreg V-A Italia-Slovenija 2014-2020 Programme. The MC is the body responsible for the supervision and monitoring of the programme implementation as well as the selection of operations, which acts as a guarantor of the effectiveness and quality of the programme implementation itself.
At the Castello di Spessa, Capriva del Friuli--chosen as a venue for the meeting--the LP-Area Science Park and PP2-Primo Principio explained how the idea was born, the formulation of the proposal and the management of the project activities. Then, the group moved to the Renato Keber winegrowing farm in Zegla, Cormons, where the oenologist of PP7-Consorzio Tutela Vini Collio illustrated the centrality of the agro-meteorological monitoring, the experimental vineyard and the “savings” achieved in terms of phyto-sanitary treatments.
The event was then concluded by a brief tasting session featuring local products, organised by a part of the 18 winemaking companies belonging to the Consorzio Tutela Vini Collio that actively participate in the SUSGRAPE project.
