More than 300 children between 8 and 10 years have been involved in awareness raising activities on the importance of sustainable mobility and individual action, in the areas of the Municipalities of Caorle, Lignano Sabbiadoro, Piran and from international network of schools coordinated by Park Škocjanske jame.
Between December 2018 and February 2019, thanks to the active involvement of schools and teachers, with the coordination of the Institute of International Sociology of Gorizia (ISIG), the children were involved in interactive activities to discover the effects of pollution and traffic emissions on the climate and the importance of individual action in environmental protection.
Moreover, children filled in a short questionnaire, at the beginning and at the end of the activity, which will allow to define the transport habits of the young inhabitants of the cross-border area and their perception on the theme of global warming.
The activity was welcomed with great enthusiasm by all young participants, who expressed their willingness to be engaged in environmental protection.
