On Friday, November 30 2018, project partners of the strategic project GREVISLIN attended the initial Kick-off meeting in Villa Vipolže, Brda. Lead partner RDA OF NORTHERN PRIMORSKA Ltd. Nova Gorica hosted project partners from Slovenia and Italy and associated partners from Slovenia.
The main overall aim of GREVISLIN project is to develop a sustainable integrated cohesive cross-border area with a clear long-term strategy in the area of green infrastructure management, awareness raising and implementing measures for sustainable cross-border development. The new solutions offered by the project, financed by the Interreg V-A Italy-Slovenia Programme, include the preparation of a cross-border long-term plan for green infrastructure, the implementation of a system of ecological and natural monitoring of cross-border river basins, implementation of environmental pilot activities in NATURA 2000 in the framework of cross-border river basins and a pilot implementation of investments in green infrastructure in the cross-border basins of the Soča, Vipava, Livenza and other sub-basins.
Kick-off meeting continued with presentation of the project and partners, further the discussion focused primarily on effective project management and communication activities, secondly partners debated the effective performance of implementation work packages.
